I too will always prefer a real book, but I am considering a Kindle or a Nook. I'll probably waffle between the two for another year or so...

If I did more traveling, I might be tempted by the Nook - it does look intriguing. But I love "real" books so much, I think I'd feel a little like a traitor!

I don't usually receive books as gifts, although I always ask for them :)

I was a very lucky girl this Christmas though! Here is my BTT response.

It was a trip to Greece that sold me on the Kindle - I wanted to pack 10 books but I did not have the luggage space!

Also - sometimes when I can not find the book I want at the store and I do not want to wait for Amazon to deliver it - I will download the Kindle for iPhone version. This usually happens when I am reading a series and I want the sequel NOW so I can continue on :)

But no Kindle could ever keep me out of the bookstore or the library - browsing is half the fun!

Books are big in our family. My BTT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/01/booking-through-thursday-my-first.html

I don't know that i'm going to go for a kindle or anything for the next little while. Tablet PCs are getting better and better so i may just upgrade to that!
